Y2K Compatibility Statement

Updated March 11, 1999

Products that deal with dates

The only products we supply that have any date processing are ZTERM and EZFTP. All other products do not process dates and are therefore not subject to Y2K compatibility. If you have Y2K issues related to COOL.STF products that aren't answered by this document, please contact us via email at [email protected] and we'll try to provide additional information.

EZFTP Details

EZFTP Pro version 2.0 processes dates in the NextDirectoryEntry event when performing a directory of the FTP server. Provided the host FTP server outputs dates in Y2K compatible format, EZFTP will process these dates correctly and pass the results onto the container application.

ZTERM Details

Since ZTERM runs on many different operating systems, there are Y2K compatibility issues related to the Windows operating system it is running on. Please keep in mind that the only place within ZTERM where dates are processed is in the FTP host browser.

Windows 3.1, Windows 3.11 and Windows NT 3.51 are not Y2K compatible, therefore, ZTERM is not Y2K compliant when run on this operating system.

ZTERM running on Windows 95, 98 and Windows NT 4.0 is Y2K compatible provided the FTP server being accessed by ZTERM is Y2K compatible.

ZTERM running on Windows CE is also Y2K compatible, again when the FTP server being connected to is also Y2K compatible.
